The History of Metro Dynamix

On June 28th 2020, a vibrant group of about 31 clueless enthusiastic Annettes of Rotary Club of Coimbatore Metropolis and 25 optimistic dads and moms met up virtually with a notion of an E-Club in Rotary. We were inspired by the message shared by DG Madhav Chandran, Dt Director Murugan, Assnt Gov Mayilsamy, and our sponsor club members, President Vittel and PDG Rajkumar. Thus began our journey!
After orientations and several informative sessions from eminent speakers and their relations with Rotary, our E-Club finally took shape under the name Metro Dynamix on August 16th. Our office bearers were all lined up and ready to assume charge on August 17th. Bylaws and budget were drawn and the logo unveiled on September 11th.
What started as an icebreaking session, virtual fun games became a norm in all our Sunday socials, with fun games hosted by our fellow members. From the resilient crossword, to the breezy and nostalgic naming the jingles game, our Sunday socials seldom ceased to entertain.
Our in person social on November 5th was a starter of sorts for the incredible journey ahead. With hot chai and samosas the members shared a happy note in the cozy and safe setup of Rtn. Palaniappan’s [Rotary Club of Coimbatore Metropolis] board room with all masks and sanitisers in place.
Our club was inaugrated on December 20th 2020.
