COVID 19 Inoculation to the Disabled
Our E-Club in association with Swarga Foundation conducted a COVID-19 vaccination drive for the differently abled in 2 phases.
Phase 1 was carried out on June 13, 2021 at Sowkhya Pain Rehab Center. We administered the vaccine to more than 200 different abled individuals and their caregivers.
Phase 2 was a door-door vaccination campaign carried out over 15 days. The campaign was flagged off on July 23, 2021 by DG Rtn Rajasekhar, AG Rtn Balakrishnan, District Differently-Abled Welfare Officer (DDAWO) and District Health Officer. We covered homes in the Puliakulam area of Coimbatore and reached out more than 1,100 beneficiaries. It was a mammoth task completed successfully as there was immense logistical coordination with the District Administration and Public Health Center.
The entire effort was handled by our member Rtn Swarnalatha. We also thank our Community Service Chair Rtn Muthu, the staff of Rathna Pharma and Swarga Foundation who worked tirelessly to make this important drive possible.
