BOOK NOOK
Book Nook is a Book drive charity that took place at various hospitals in Coimbatore to provide a mini library for children undergoing long-term treatment. Here are the list of places in Coimbatore that the club has set up the mini library.
Over 200 books( story books, comics and activity books) were donated hoping we could Bring a Smile at the Children's ward in the Hospital. We believe these books would help the children undergoing long term treatment for their illness would benifit from these books and activities that offer ways to discover their inner strength and self esteem.
It was our privilege to handover the books to Dr S Rajasabapathy and Dr Raja Shanmuga Krishnan at Ganga Hospital, Dr M Ramasamy and Dr Krishnaswamy at Masonic Medical Center and Dr Antony at GKNM.
" Little Treasures" and "Book Nook" was done in collaboration with Ms Sakina Mithiborwala. Under these projects toys and books were collected and sent to rural parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Chattisgarh. We also received the pics of the beneficiaries while they received the toys, a letter of appreciation from one of the schools where the books were donated and an appreciation video from Ms Sakina Mithiborwala.
